About the Master

After a year of relentlessly plaguing Tim Stroh of Santa Fe New Mexico's Stepbridge recording studio, Kristian gained admittance into the studio world at the age of sixteen. He learned the basics of microphone technique, gain stage and compression as the recording studio assistant; after a year in the studio he quickly moved into the live sound arena and began the process of mastering this new field.

Kristian relocated to Albuquerque to further his education at The University of New Mexico. While attending college he worked as an assistant engineer at a local nightclub further honing his engineering skills. Two years later, outgrowing the Albuquerque music scene, Kristian returned to his home state of Texas. Shortly thereafter he broke onto the touring circuit and proceeded to travel the world with various artists.

Kristian, now an executive producer of Amity Records, who plays a mean guitar for MimosA and Bella Canto, made his mark as a live audio engineer and tour manager for many of the leading musical groups on the tour circuit today. In this capacity he has earned an Emmy, a gold record, a platinum record and a double platinum record. He was one of the few audio engineers chosen to coordinate the post 9/11 tribute broadcast from the CBS studios featuring artists such as Stevie Wonder, Sting, Tom Petty, Neil young, Goo Goo Dolls, and a roomful of some of the leading actors in Hollywood.

He has also worked with Clive Davis, Jessica Simpson, Thalia, Macy Gray, Limp Bizkit and Blink 182. He has managed international tours, mixed large corporate events (Microsoft) as well as involvement in audio production for audiences over 100,000 attendees (Super Bowl, Dynamo Festival and Reading Festival) to name a few. Kristian has also mixed on various television shows such as The Tonight Show, Dave Letterman Show, NBA All-stars, Sessions on West 54th , the Regis and Kelly Show, and Soul Train. When he is not traveling, Kristian splits his time between Los Angeles, California and Victoria, BC, on Canada’s beautiful west coast.
