In a world plagued by war and strife, by hunger and hate; where we are constantly reminded that difference in faith, language, and culture is the motivating force behind the tragedies that grossly consume our media; where we continue to see the painful examples of discrimination giving rise to the crass injustice that has permeated a growing body of the population of this planet; in such a world it is absolutely imperative that we make a conscious effort to promote with eagerness and fervor the concord of humankind.
