Badasht Vol 1: While the City Sleeps
Converging on Canada's Vancouver Island, song- writer/recording artists Eric Dozier (Harlem Gospel Choir, One Human Family Workshop) and JB Eckl (Santana, War, Ozomatli) set out to bring their diverse backgrounds together for a music-infused devotional experience. Drawing upon the Bahá'í Sacred Writings for lyrics and inspiration, and incorporating elements of soul, rock, Gospel, folk and world music, Eric and JB's first collaboration weaves a rich tapestry of sound at once intimate and expansive, introspective and jubilant. Visit the Badasht site for more info.

Bella Canto is an act that brings together diverse artists and genres. Just as the Moors swept in from the Middle East across Northern Africa and into Europe to give birth to flamenco, so does the passionate and mystical violin of Farzad meet MimosA’s driving rock rhythms in this volume of Bella Canto do the same.
A unity formed from diverse elements is and will always be stronger than homogenous unity. May the music of Bella Canto always be a lasting testimony to the strength of unity in diversity, a glimpse of what our world could become, and a proof of the oneness of humanity.

Mirror of Emotions and From My Heart
by Farzad
"Beyond the differences of ideology and belief, more obvious than our preferences in the realm of music, still stronger than our accusations of the error of our neighbor's ways, there lies in each of us a basic set of emotions. These emotions which lie, often silently, under the currents of our lives, undeniably assure us that despite the seemingly polar forces which separate us from each other, we are not as different as one might believe."
