Blige as a reference point, JB offers students an opportunity to see inside the record-making process, and stimulate interactive learning by engaging students in a question answer format. JB, a firm believer in the philosophy that 'it's the person, not the gear', debunks myths, exposes truths and gives away as many tricks as time will permit. He shares examples of a novel approach to the use of common digital production tools software plug-ins, modeling devices, samplers etc.) which satisfyingly creates a sound much bigger than the budget used to achieve it... Students are inspired to utilize the studio as an instrument in its own right.
