Eric Harper, lead singer of flamenco-rock band MimosA, graduated with a bachelor of music in film scoring “Magna Cum Laude” from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Due to his intensive training abroad in Porto, Portugal, Eric finished a four-year degree in just two and half years.

After graduation he moved to Los Angeles to hone his skills both as a songwriter as well as composer.

When Eric is not on tour with MimosA or the Bella Canto “Two” Festival he can be found laboring in his recording studio designing compositions that Amity Records is proud to present.

Credits include:

  • Winner of the Yamaha Young Performing Artists Award of 2000
  • Finalist in the Morton Gould Composer Award of 2000.
  • Finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition of 2002.
  • Composed, performed and appeared in commercial for Adidas featuring internationally renowned Spanish Golfer Sergio Garcia in 2003.
  • Music Director and Composer to Nelsan Ellis' Award Winning Play "Ugly,” in 2004.
  • Composer to the award-winning movie "Waiting Alone,” in 2005.

    Nominated for 3 awards, including "BEST PICTURE", at the 2005 Chinese Academy Awards, "Waiting Alone" recently picked up for international distribution by Arclight Films!
